After I had a massive heart attack and a near-death experience, my wife said I was like an exuberant child, wanting to tell everyone about my encounter with her brother “Frosty,” and what I saw on the other side. The euphoria didn’t last, however, and I was faced with a dying heart and grim prospects for survival. It would have been a lot easier to stay in that place of love and light, but now I had to figure out how to return to the temporal world—and actively fight for my life. After a long struggle, my atrophied body gave out again, and I entered the Ethereal a second time. This time I received even more truths. Immediately after that, I was transplanted with the perfect donor heart. After having these experiences, I had a strong feeling that I needed to share what I had seen with the hope of helping others, but still had many questions. I didn’t know how I could possibly put the unexplainable into words, or how to find the energy as my body healed. I had to return to a demanding job and caring for my special needs daughter Maria, but the desire to tell my story never left me. I got up early each morning to write before the day began, and after three years; this book is the result. It is my best attempt to share what I learned, including how to stay in spirit through the physical demands of everyday life.
